The company continued their US tour of offshore wind conferences, having a grand time seeing long time colleagues and meeting new people and companies. Good talks, good meetings, nice exhibits, and some great dinners with associates around town. Let’s hope all the various conference organizers realize that this is not a very safe city to be holding events at. I’ll be glad to put AC in the rearview mirror. On to the next spot!

Geo SubSea (Sandi Scripa and Jeff Gardner) attended the Reuters conference June 17-18, 2024 in Boston in the Seaport District. And Jeff participated in a panel focused on survey lessons learned to discuss strategic ways to maintain quality while reducing the cost of site characterization efforts. Great panel and engaging chatter about this topic. Thank you to the other panelists for the invite! Overall a good turnout and worthwhile trip to Beantown.

Geo SubSea continues its increased involvement on the west coast by attending the Pacific OSW Summit again this year. Beautiful setting in Sacramento, CA. The event is held at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. The company also uses the trip as an ‘excuse’ to visit our CA office space in Santa Barbara as well as connect with our local team members operating on the west coast. Can’t wait til next year!

The company attends the International Partnering Forum (IPF) conference each year, the largest offshore wind conference in the industry, hosted by the rebranded Oceantic Network this year. Fantastic event with a wide range of participants, presentations, workshops, and special evening socials. OSW Drinks at the House of Blues was a really phenomenal venue. Great to see all our colleagues and meet new faces in the industry. Look forward to next year!

April 2023 marked the first in-person return to the Wesleyan University campus and the Freeman Athletic Center for the Chamber of Commerce career expo. Geo SubSea staff really enjoy this event and interacting with all the area high school students who attend. Liz Spielman and Sandi Scripa manned the table most of the time while Jeff G wandered around and ate donuts. Lots of great conversations were had hopefully with some future marine scientists!
