  • Oceantic Network IPF Conference

    Published: 26 February 2026Conferences

Geo SubSea attended the IPF conference in New York for offshore wind and the renewables industry, despite the current disappointing downturn due to a lack of federal administration support. A solid turnout and excellent talks highlighted industry professionals committed to advancing these solutions and technologies to fight climate change and provide electricity quickly into the grid. We will continue fighting for this effort and we’ll be here when the industry ramps back up again in the future!

  • NOWRDC Symposium in the Big Apple!

    Published: 16 February 2026Conferences

Jeff Gardner was a guest speaker at this event to highlight research being done by Geo SubSea and Lobster Robotics to develop innovative technology for deep water environmental monitoring around future floating offshore wind farms. The ‘Recon’ uncrewed underwater vehicle (UUV) is being built to fill this gap in offshore data acquisition needs which requires safe operation around floating components in the water column (foundations, mooring cables, inter-array power cables) while still providing repeatable, accurate marine scientific information. The study is over a 2+ year period with field demonstrations occurring off the California coast in summer 2027. Message us for updates on progress and further information.

  • Marine Renewables Canada Conference

    Published: 20 November 2025Conferences

Geo SubSea attended the MRC conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia in November 2025 to learn about the fledgling offshore wind industry north of the border. We met with many local companies and learned about the status of offshore renewables. The company participated as a member of the US delegation assembled by Oceantic Network which was a nice way to get additional introductions to Canadian organizations and agencies. All in all a great trip! Halifax is a very interesting city.

  • A Digital Economist Roundtable Discussion

Jeff Gardner was asked to participate in a live webinar hosted by the Digital Economist featuring guest speakers and experts from around the globe. The topic of the day was sustainability and the circular economy; how it can be better adopted in government policies and how innovation and implementation are driving change forward. Jeff’s group focused on these topics from the marine or oceanic perspective, including conversations about renewable energy, mariculture, zero carbon emissions, commercial material recycling, and more. A very interesting event for sure!

  • Nathan Hale Ray Middle School – Guest Speaker

Published: 30 May 2025Geo SubSea News

Jeff Gardner visited the East Haddam middle school as part of a STEM day to talk to the students about marine science and renewable energy. The visit was coordinated by Shaleen Thody and staff. Geo SubSea has been participating in educational outreach for decades and makes a point to contribute if asked. Hard to say no! We really love interacting with the students.
